چکیده
Abstract A series of true axial hydraulic fracturing experiments were conducted to understand the complex fracture initiation and propagation behavior multilayered rocks. Moreover, a new convenient grid measurement method was presented describe effectiveness. The experimental results revealed that transverse vertical non-planar fractures could be created in area scanning by match indicated traditional Geomagic method. close layer contact determines how produced fishbone structure system is. Near hole zones, secondary deviated found due multiple layers. can managed modifying treatment parameters. Low-principle horizontal stress contrast low-viscosity fluid produce complicated fractures, an increase perforation numbers make more abnormally high breakdown pressure. Larger areas benefit from rates pump rates, but larger may not always decreased viscosity. pressure highest for samples with two sets oriented perforations, shadowing effect should considered treatment. rate generates path well despite types also yields increased viscosity constrain random extension, which is beneficial decreasing near-wellbore tortuosity. occurrence shear along interface formation risk proppant injection placement.

متن کاملAn experimental study on hydraulic behavior of free-surface radial flow in coarse-grained porous media
The equations of fluids in porous media are very useful in designing the rockfill and diversion dams, gabions, breakwaters and ground water reserves. Researches have been showed that the Forchheimer equation is not sufficient for the analysis of hydraulic behavior of free-surface radial flows; because, in these flows, in addition to the hydraulic gradient and velocity, the variable of radius is...
متن کاملNumerical Analysis on the Stability of Hydraulic Fracture Propagation
The formation of dense spacing fracture network is crucial to the hydraulic fracturing treatment of unconventional reservoir. However, one difficulty for fracturing treatment is the lack of clear understanding on the nature of fracture complexity created during the treatment. In this paper, fracture propagation is numerically investigated to find the conditions needed for the stable propagation...
